There’s something incredibly special about being a family photographer and watching families grow and evolve over the years. It’s a privilege I cherish deeply, and my recent session with the Pierce family reminded me just why I love what I do as a Birmingham, Alabama family photographer.

A Long-Time Client and Friend

I’ve been photographing the Pierce family for several years now, and it’s been such a joy to see their beautiful daughters, Iris and Audrey, grow up. My very first session with Emma and Andrew was their pregnancy announcement photos for Iris, their firstborn. And now here we are! From the early days of toddling around to now running with wild abandon, these girls have grown so much, and capturing their journey has been a heartfelt experience.

Each session brings something new and unique, but this time, we decided to focus on a more lifestyle and organic approach. We wanted to let the girls’ personalities shine through naturally, and I love how it turned out!

Seeing these two interact was heartwarming. Iris would often pause to show Audrey something interesting she had found, and their infectious laughter would soon follow. Capturing these moments of sibling love and connection was a highlight of the session.
