Adam and Annabeth’s May wedding day was as beautiful as it was joyful. These two are a picture of a gospel-filled relationship that was reflected so eloquently throughout the day. From warm and sunny weather to gorgeous spring colors to an inspiring ceremony and complete throwdown of a reception… let’s just say they are what wedding dreams are made of!
I was absolutely honored to capture their day at Highlands Chapel at Church of the Highlands Grants Mill and Dread River Distilling Company in Birmingham, Alabama. The wedding was filled with sweet sentiments, like family-arranged florals, her mother’s garter, and her dad sticking a lucky penny in her shoe (known as the “lucky silver sixpence” tradition – that was a new one for me!).
I knew it was going to be a blast to photograph these two on their wedding day after they blew me away with their natural ease and charisma in front of the camera at their engagement session at Birmingham Botanical Gardens (check it out here!) Emotions were evident and real from the first look between Annabeth and her father as well as Annabeth and Adam’s first look. My favorite was how neither of them could keep from crying throughout the ceremony – it was the sweetest!
We ended the night with one of the best dance parties I’ve witnessed at a wedding led by the incredible Derek Sellers Music and a sparkler send off for the Wilsons.
Adam and Annabeth, I am grateful for you two and I pray you will always look at each other the way you did all day long on your wedding day! It is inspiring and uplifting, just like you both!
